Abstract
The Act provides for the institution of a Coconut Development Authority, whose functions, tasks and powers enables it to perform all activities deemed necessary to increase the production of coconut and its by-products, to conduct scientific research on coconut growth and breeds, to register all lands and owners actually involved in coconut coltivation, to finance both research and coconut industry and trade.

An Act to provide for the development and regulation of the coconut industry and the utilization of land in and for coconut plantations; to establish boardsand a public authority known as the Coconut Development Authority and to regulate their powers and functions; to provide for a cess on coconut products; to provide for the management and acquisition of coconut plantations, and to make provision for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
