Consumer Affairs Authority (Amendment) Act, No. 20 of 2021.

This Act amends the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No. 9 of 2003 (principal Act). In section 60 of the principal Act, after sub-section (4), a new sub-section 4A is added which lays down the penalty for failure to comply with order passed under sub-section (5) of section 20. Sub-section (5) of section 60 is also amended. This amendment shall apply only in respect of offences committed after the coming into force of this Act.
