Abstract
These Regulations are made under Section 61 of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Act, No. 2 of 1996. They require a licence to be acquired to operate a fish-processing establishment. A fish-processing establishment means any premises or boats where fish are prepared, processed, packed, frozen or stored. The procedure to obtain such licence is laid out, including inspection of the establishment by an inspector. The form of licence to be issued is provided and powers are given to Director General to revoke a licence for violation of terms and conditions.
