Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Amendment) Act, No. 22 of 2006.

This Act amends the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Act.
Sections 39, 40, 41, 42 and 43 have been replaced with new sections dealing with: licensing of aquaculture operations; appointment of licensing officers; licence application procedures; and duration and renewal of licences. New sections shall be inserted after section 43 dealing with the suspension or cancellation of licences, and with appeals and complaints against Licensing Officers. Furthermore, amendments shall be made to the following: the heading of Part VII shall be changed; a new section 45A dealing with aquaculture disputes shall be added; new sections 49A and 57A dealing with offences and fines shall be inserted. Minor amendments have also been made to section 61 and to section 66 on definitions.
