Abstract
These Regulations allow licence holders to engage in any fishing operations to catch live Ornamental Fish or Lobster in South Coast (Matara or Galle District) Fisheries Management Area only if the licence issued bears an endorsement to the effect that it is valid for that purpose.
The Regulations provide for Fishing Operation Licence restrictions; require that separate licences be issued to engage in fishing operations to catch both Live Operational Fish and Lobster; set out the maximum number of bottom set gill nets allowed in a boat to catch Live Operational Fish and Lobster; and set out hours in which fishing in the area is allowed.
