Abstract
These Regulations, consisting of two sections and one Schedule, specify in the respective Column of the Schedule, food standards applicable for the assessment of the quality of food items under the Food Act, No. 26 of 1980, established by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution under the Sri Lanka Standards Institution Act, No. 6 of 1984. They provide for food standards in respect of the specific food items. Standards for any food item after the publishing of these regulations shall be applicable to the specified food items.
