Abstract
These Regulations are made under Section 32 of the Food Act, No. 26 of 1980. They provide for labelling standards for liquid food which is in a ready to drink form and which contain sugar. Regulation 3 states that the label of container for any food covered by the Regulations must be as specified in the Schedule. The Schedule contains the colour and logo to be used as per the corresponding sugar content in the food. Regulation 4 requires that the logo shall be displayed in the main panel of the label of the container or the package. Regulation 6 lists the foods to which the provisions of the Regulations are not applicable.
