Abstract
These Regulations are made by the Minister of Health in consultation with the Food Advisory Committee under Section 32 of the Food Act, No. 26 of 1980. These Regulations require obtaining a certificate of registration for manufacture, storage, sale, import, packaging or transport of iodized and non-iodized food grade salt. Part I of the Regulations lay down the procedure and conditions for obtaining certificate of registration for non-iodized food grade salt. Part II lays down the procedure and conditions for obtaining certificate of registration for iodized food grade salt. Part III of the Regulations contain general rules in respect of packaging and labelling iodized and non-iodized food grade salt. Part IV provides for the definitions.
