Abstract
This Act amends the National Aquaculture Development Authority of Sri Lanka Act.
The long title of the principal Act has been amended. Amendments have been made to the following sections: section 3 dealing with the Board of Directors; paragraphs (a), (b), (e), (f), (g), (h) of Section 11 on aquaculture operations; section 13 has been replaced with a new section on the Director-General of the Authority; addition of new sections 14A and 14B dealing with the nomination of Licensing Officers and their powers and functions; addition of new sections 32A and 32B dealing with annual reports to be submitted to the Authority, and with the demolition of unauthorized structures; section 37 on the regulation making power of the Minister; and section 41 on definitions. Minor amendments have also been made to sections 6, 12, and 20.
