Order declaring the Muthurajawela Environmental Protection Area.

This Order declares that the limits of area of land described in Schedule I shall be an environmental protection area for the purposes of the National Environmental Act, 1980.
The Order defines functions and powers of the Central Environmental Authority, in relation to the protection area, which shall be limited to the ones specified in Schedule II and shall be exercised and discharged in accordance with the conditions set out in Schedule III. Furthermore, development in the environmental protection area must be carried out without disturbing vitally important plant and animal habitats.
