Order under Section 23 W of the National Environmental Act, No. 47 of 1980 prohibiting use of polythene and polythene products.

This Order prohibits the manufacture, sale, offer for sale, exhibition or use of polythene or any polythene product of twenty (20) microns or below in thickness within the country. Exemption may be provided by the Central Environmental Authority for the purposes specified in the Schedule.
