Petroleum Products (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Act, No. 27 of 2022.

This Act amends the Petroleum Products (Special Provisions) Act, No. 33 of 2002 (principal Act). The Act amends the long title of the principal Act with the words Energy Supply Committee substituted for the words Committee Appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers. Section 3 of the principal Act is repealed and substituted. All references to the Energy Supply Committee in the principal Act shall be read and construed as a reference to the Committee appointed under section 3. A new section 3A is inserted which states that the Committee shall be deemed to be a scheduled institution within the meaning of the Bribery Act (Chapter 26). Sections 6 and 9 of the principal Act are also amended.
