Abstract
The Act appoints a Director of Export Agriculture who shall be charged with implementing the provisions of the act (sect. 3). Persons engaging in the processing, sale and transport of agricultural crops must be registered with the Director (sect. 8). There are provisions concerning the Director's power to require the maintenance of records and to inspect premises. The Director shall also be responsible for the conduct of research and training as regard to the export of agricultural crops (sect. 9). There are provisions regarding offences and penalties that may arise under the terms of this Act. The Minister may make regulations for the purpose of giving effect to the principles and provisions of the Act (sect. 15).
