Sri Lanka Electricity (Amendment) Act, No. 14 of 2025.

This Act amends the Sri Lanka Electricity Act, No. 36 of 2024 (principal Act). The long title of the principal Act is amended. Certain expressions in the principal Act are substituted, such as: Wholesale Electricity Market is substituted by National Electricity Market; and National Electricity Advisory Council is replaced by the phrase - committee appointed by the Minister. Amendments are made to sections 1 and 2 of the principal Act. The heading of PART II of the principal Act is substituted. Section 3 is repealed. Sections 4, 5, 10, 11, 14, 17, 18, 20, 24, 28, 29, 30, 40 and 52 are amended. Further, amendments are made to Schedule I to the principal Act.
