Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Commerce and Industry provides rules for the importation and local production of wheat flour so as to ensure that all wheat flour imported and locally produced in the commerce of Liberia is fortified with the essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients mentioned in Table 1. All wheat flour imported into or manufactured in Liberia must, at a minimum, be fortified with the specified minerals, vitamins and nutrients. Imports that do not meet prescribed standards may be subject to confiscation and the imports of such imports may be subject to penal law. Importation of wheat flour shall require a permission. Locally manufactured wheat flour shall be subject to testing by the National Standards Laboratory (NSL). The Regulation also concerns quality assurances, packaging requirements, inspections and civil administrative enforcement action.
