Abstract
This Regulatory Instrument of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) seeks to ensure that water produced for drinking is safe and meets all standards set by the EPA as required by the Environmental Protection & Management Law of Liberia. It sets out infrastructural requirements for facilities for the production of safe drinking, requires the EPA, in collaboration with relevant institutions, to collect and register data on water facilities and develop an appropriate monitoring programme, and conduct awareness and education programs for both producers and consumers, and prescribes requirements for entities that operate facilities and for the monitoring of chemical usage and more generally, the production of drinking water. The Department of Compliance & Enforcement is responsible for the full implementation of this Regulation.
