Abstract
This Act provides with respect to the administration, structure, operations, powers, responsibilities and (additional) functions of the National Land Commission established immediately upon passing of this Act. The Commission shall be independent from the Government and shall propose, advocate and coordinate land reform policies, legislation and programmes in Liberia. The reform of land legislation and policy shall be based upon principles of equitable and productive access to land resources, security of tenure, effective land administration and management and other principles set out by this Act. The Act defines in detail the functions and of the Commissions and assigns to it such powers as may be necessary to fulfil its mandate and carry out its functions.
