Strategic Plan for Agricultural and Rural Statistics for Lesotho (SPARS_LES) 2019/20 - 2023/24 is an action plan for Global Strategy for Improving Agricultural and Rural Statistics. It sets out the policy context, rationale and methodology and describes the institutional environment for the National Statistical System (NSS) and National Agricultural Statistics System (NASS) and their linkage with the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS). The Plan is structured around the following six Strategic Objectives: S.O 1: Strengthen coordination of NASS and its integration into the NSS; S.O 2: Improving the production, analysis and accessibility of agricultural statistics; S.O 3: Improving the quality of agricultural statistics; S.O 4: Ensuring the availability, capability and motivation of NASS staff; S.O5: Strengthen the physical infrastructure for efficient and effective statistical operations; S.O6: Develop sustainable funding for agricultural and rural statistics activities.
