Abstract
This Regulation establishes mandatory requirements, applicable to forest enterprises and national parks administration, governing timber extraction and trade of round timber. It determines the basic requirements or the classification of round timber according to the types of trees, assortments (purpose), dimensions and quality and the procedure for its marking. It is recommended to use these rules for private forest owners, as well as for legal entities and natural persons who purchase unfinished state forests and who produce round timber for sale. Round timber is classified according to the types of trees, assortments (purpose), dimensions and quality. According to the type of tree, round timber is classified according to the type of tree species it produces. It can also be classified according to tree species types: conifer, deciduous, hard deciduous, soft deciduous, alder (black and white alder), and elm (elm, dwarf elm, basswood), etc. By quality, round timber is classified in 4 categories according to the following imperfections and defects: curvature, indent, branches (open, overgrown, rotting), core displacement, surface roughness, cracks, blossoming, rot, insect damages.
