Decree No. D1-183 of the Minister of Environment validating the Regulation on environmental protection department of the Ministry of Environment.

The Minister specifies the sphere of competence of environmental protection department of the Ministry of Environment as follows: (a) environmental impact assessment, including changes in the state of environment; (b) measurements of emissions of pollutants; (c) control of disasters, including major industrial accidents, through emergency intervention system and risk management; (d) environmental monitoring; (e) supervision over chemicals and preparations and the use of GMO subject to release for non-market purposes; and (f) supply environmental monitoring data and information to the persons, entities and institutions concerned.
