Law on the Health System (No I-552).

The scope of this Act includes the formulation of: the general requirements for food products quality; to prescribe procedures for the laying down of conditions for producing, importing, trading, advertising of such products, control over the quality of food products and their tare, and the marking thereof; and of the general requirements for the quality of drinking water, to define the legal framework of water treatment, and various other matters to protect the environment and public health.
