Abstract
Article 6 establishes that state supervision over environmental protection shall be performed by the State Environmental Protection Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, the State Forest Service, and State Service for Protected Areas under the Parks and Reserves under the Ministry of Environment under the Ministry of Environment and the Lithuanian Geological Survey under the Ministry of Environment. Article 37 establishes that order issued by an official of State Environmental Inspectorate to suspend environmentally harmful activities may be appealed to the supervisory authority within 10 days from the date of issuance.
