Abstract
This methodology identifies open-cast mining quarries and peatlands reclamation procedures binding on all landowners, users of public land, and managers, as well as other legal and natural persons. Rehabilitation of mineral quarries and peatlands shall be carried out in accordance with the scheme of transformation to the use thereof as reservoirs in accordance with land reclamation project, which is prepared and coordinated in compliance with the established procedure. The objective of land reclamation procedure shall be restoration of fertile soil layer. The main directions of reclamation of damaged lands shall be as follows: (a) to agricultural land; (b) to forestland; (c) to waterbodies; (d) to construction areas; and (e) to other areas.
