Order No. D1-193 of the Minister of Environment validating the Surface Water Management Regulation.

The Surface Water Management Regulation defines environmental protection requirements for collecting, purification (treatment) and discharge of surface runoff with a view of environmental protection against pollution. The provisions of this Regulation apply to all persons who manage territories on which superficial sewage is formed or can be formed, preparing for such territories planning documentation, construction projects, designing surface runoff management systems planning to dispose of or discharging surface water into the environment; or waste water management systems belonging to other persons, as well as institutions regulating and controlling surface runoff. Surface waste water must be treated separately from household, municipal and industrial sewage. Discharge of surface waste water into municipal, domestic and industrial sewage treatment systems shall be prohibited except in cases where the waste management system does not comply with this requirement for it had been installed (or construction permit issued) before the entry into force of this Regulation. Mixed wastewater management systems shall be subject to all statutory requirements for waste water acceptance by mixed wastewater treatment system. It shall be prohibited to discharge into surface water treatment systems environmentally harmful substances and any waste.
