Abstract
This Order establishes a framework for the management of antimicrobial resistance at regional level, including measures to promote the rational use of antimicrobial medicinal products and to carry out monitoring of their use and resistance. It regulates the structure of antimicrobial resistance management in counties and defines the roles of the competent institutions involved, including the national coordinating body, regional public health authorities, healthcare institutions, laboratories and other relevant authorities, in relation to coordination, information exchange, consultation and reporting.
It provides for the establishment of regional antimicrobial resistance management groups composed of representatives of public health, healthcare, laboratory and other authorities, including veterinary services. These groups are tasked with identifying and addressing issues related to antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial use, planning and reporting activities, and coordinating monitoring at regional level. The text also sets out provisions on surveillance of antimicrobial consumption and resistance, data sharing, public awareness and training, and cooperation among participating institutions.
