Abstract
The Regulation prescribes the welfare requirements of animals in animal shelters and animal boarding facilities, the procedures for transferring animals to a shelter or boarding facility, as well as the procedures for registration of shelters and boarding facilities. The Food and Veterinary Service shall perform the State supervision and control in shelters and boarding facilities. The owner of the shelter or boarding facility or an authorised person thereof shall be responsible for the compliance with the Regulation. A local government shall, once every six months, send the following data to the territorial structural unit of the Service: regarding the catching of stray pet animals, specifying the animal species, number and actions involving them; regarding the accommodation of confiscated or removed pet animals, specifying the animal species, number and actions involving them; regarding the accommodation of wild animals in a helpless situation, specifying the animal species, number and actions involving them; and regarding buried and cremated animal carcasses, specifying the animal species and number.
