Abstract
The Regulation prescribes the implementation of basic principles for radiation safety and nuclear safety in the protection of human beings against ionising radiation in medical exposure. The Regulation must apply to the following types of medical exposure the exposure of persons that is related to the diagnosis or treatment of a disease, or health surveillance; the exposure of employees in mandatory health surveillance and examination of employees; the exposure of such individual who voluntarily participates in medical or biomedical, diagnostic or therapeutic, research programme; the exposure of individuals as part of a medico-legal intervention; and exposure of the voluntary assistant.
