Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 586 validating the Regulation on the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development.

The Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development is the leading state administrative institution in the following areas: (a) nature protection; (b) regional development; (c) municipal development and supervision; (d) territorial development planning and land management; (e) management of public administration services; (f) planning, coordination and management of information society and digital transformation development; (g) public administration digital technology management; and (h) data management. The Ministry performs the following tasks: (a) supervises the implementation of development planning documents in the field of nature protection and integration thereof into policy documents and regulatory acts of other sectors aimed at achieving the goals of nature protection policy; (b) organizes and coordinates the implementation of regulatory acts in the field of nature protection and develops recommendations and guidelines in the field of nature protection; (c) ensures the implementation of international agreements and conventions in the field of nature protection; (c) implements environmental impact assessment and monitoring; (d) collects and analyzes the performance results of the data management policy; and (e) performs other tasks specified in development planning documents and external regulatory acts.
