Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No.518 validating the Rules of the Digital Cultural Heritage Platform.

These Rules determine operation, financing and use procedures related to the management of the Digital Cultural Heritage Platform. Core activity information system (Digital Cultural Heritage Platform) is an integrated information system of state or local government institutions that uses a platform for the circulation of digital objects of cultural heritage in order to fulfill the functions defined in the regulatory acts governing the activity of the state or local government institution for the creation, preservation or access to national cultural heritage. The purpose of the platform's operation is to ensure the unified management, preservation and distribution of cultural heritage digital objects and data circulation between the core business information systems and the platform's shared information systems, as well as to accumulate cultural heritage digital objects and data. The platform is a state platform managed by the National Library of Latvia.
