Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No.577 validating the Regulation on payment arrangements for wind farms for local community development.

This Regulation determines the amount of wind power plant payments for the development of the local community, payment and monitoring procedures, deadlines, as well as the purposes of using payments. The payment to the community is made by the electricity producer once a year by March 1 for the previous calendar year, to the municipality in whose administrative territory the wind power plant is located or whose territory is at right angles to the coast from the border of the wind power plant located in internal sea waters, territorial sea or exclusive economic zone. The payment to the community is credited to the account specified on the website of the administering municipality, indicating the nominal power of the wind power plant and the name of the power plant or wind farm in the purpose of the payment. The obligation of the electricity producer to make a payment to the community begins in the following year after receiving the permission of the electricity distribution system operator for the connection of the power plant to the system or the receipt of the final operation notification of the electricity transmission system operator, and the payment obligation ends when the wind power plant is dismantled and the territory of the dismantled power plant is tidied up. An electricity producer whose wind power plant is dismantled before the next year's payment deadline does not make payments to the community for the last year. The payment to the community is 2,500 euros per year, excluding value added tax, for each megawatt of nominal capacity of the wind power plant (also incomplete).
