Law amending Law on Agriculture and Rural Development (2004).

This Law establishes that in order to respect and ensure the safety of Latvian society (protection of public interests), well-being (increasing the common material benefits of society) and the protection of the rights of other persons (including rights to property), it is prohibited to bring (import) agricultural and fodder products into Latvia from the Russian Federation and bringing (importing) agricultural and fodder products originating in the Republic of Belarus, as well as the Russian Federation into Latvia from other third countries.
