Law amending Law “On compliance assessment”.

Article 16 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Compliance certificates issued in foreign states and attesting compliance and also foreign compliance assessment systems shall be officially recognized in Latvia in case of existence between Latvia and the respective state mutual agreement on acknowledgement of compliance assessment system”. Article 17 shall be amended to add the following wording: “In case of absence of mutual agreement on acknowledgement of compliance assessment system between Latvia and the respective foreign state then compliance certificates issued by that foreign state or confirmation of compliance assessment shall be acknowledged in accordance with the modalities established by the Cabinet of Ministers”.
