Abstract
The plant varieties which have been registered in accordance with this Law and belong to the botanical genera and species referred to in the Annex attached to the present Law shall be protected by a breeder’s right. The document consists of VIII Chapters and contains 48 Articles. Chapter I lays down the general provisions. Chapter II deals with the application for variety registration and examination of it. Chapter III regards breeder’s right. Chapter IV concerns utilization of a registered variety. Chapter V regards cancellation of registration and other amendments to the register. Chapter VI establishes liability for violation of the rights of an owner of a variety and procedural provisions. Chapter VII regards international agreements. Chapter VIII lays down the transitional provisions.
