Declaration of a Libyan Fisheries Protection Zone in the Mediterranean Sea.

This Declaration of the General Popular Committee designates the zone situated in the north of the Libyan Territorial Sea, which extends for 62 nautical miles, to be a protected fishing area under the sovereignty and control of the Libyan Arab Republic. All fishing methods and gear used in the above-mentioned area without previous licences from the competent authority are prohibited. This Declaration will be deposited at the UN and published by all media.
