Abstract
This Resolution, comprising 8 articles, aims at prohibiting the import of equipment and devices (new or used) that rely on ozone-depleting hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) for their operation. This prohibition applies to the equipment and devices specified in the attached table, including residential air conditioners, central air conditioning systems, commercial air conditioning units, commercial display refrigerators, water chillers, food industry freezers, and refrigeration units in trucks. The Resolution also prohibits the establishment of new industries or factories that rely on such equipment. Entities engaged in artisanal activities or otherwise required to use the materials prohibited under the preceding articles must obtain the necessary environmental authorization. It further mandates the gradual phase-out of such materials and equipment, to be replaced with available alternatives on the market.
