Resolution No. 1012 of 2022 establishing the Agricultural and Livestock Projects Development and Investment Authority.

This Resolution comprising 10 articles aims to establish the Agricultural and Livestock Projects Development and Investment Authority affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. The Agency will be responsible for preparing plans and programs related to the growth and development of agricultural projects and investments, and in particular for (i) developing and implementing a scientific strategy for growth, development, and investment to achieve goals in increasing production and providing food; (ii) overseeing the technical and administrative functions of the branches and all the projects it undertakes; (iii) preparing and implementing training programs and courses for its employees; (iv) participating in the activities of local, regional, and international organizations and bodies, and establishing cooperative relationships with them; (v) providing and supplying fodder, various seeds, agricultural equipment, and spraying equipment; (vi) providing and supplying agricultural machinery, pumps of all kinds, and other agricultural tools. The Agency is managed by a Board of Directors responsible for developing and implementing plans and programs to achieve its objectives, including overseeing all departments and projects, following Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock instructions, creating necessary strategies and systems, preparing budgets, forming committees, monitoring project activities, reporting to the Ministry, proposing organizational structures, and executing tasks per applicable legislation.
