Resolution No. 306 of 2012 to establish a Scientific Research Center for the Olive Tree.

This Resolution consisting of 9 articles aims to establish the Scientific Research Center for the Olive Tree under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the following main tasks (i) conducting scientific research on olive trees; (ii) developing plans and strategies for olive tree cultivation based on research findings; (iii) providing scientific consultations, conducting awareness and guidance activities, and creating a comprehensive database on olive trees; (iv) organizing seminars, training and educational courses, conferences, and exhibitions for olive tree enthusiasts; (v) preparing and training personnel in olive tree cultivation and preservation across scientific, technical, commercial, and industrial levels; (vi) supporting researchers in olive tree-related studies; (vii) developing pest control methods for olive trees using modern scientific techniques; (viii) introducing modern technologies in olive tree planting, pollination, and harvesting to enhance production; (ix) establishing genetic pools for high-quality olive tree varieties. The The Director General is responsible for managing the scientific and administrative affairs of the Center, establishing necessary technical rules and systems, overseeing and directing the Center's entities to achieve their goals, and supervising all Center activities.
