Resolution No. 307 of 2012 to establish a Scientific Research Center for the Palm Tree.

This Resolution consisting of 9 articles aims to establish the Scientific Research Center for the Palm Tree under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Center's main tasks include (i) conducting various scientific research on palm tree cultivation; (ii) developing plans and strategies for palm tree cultivation based on research findings; (iii) providing scientific consultations on palm trees, conducting awareness and guidance activities, and creating a comprehensive database on palm trees; (iv) organizing seminars, training, educational courses, conferences, and exhibitions for those interested in palm tree cultivation; (v) preparing and training personnel in palm tree cultivation across scientific, technical, commercial, and industrial levels; (vi) supporting researchers in palm tree-related studies; (vii) developing modern scientific methods for controlling palm tree pests; (viii) introducing and expanding modern technologies in palm tree cultivation, pollination, and harvesting to improve production; (ix) establishing genetic pools for high-quality palm tree varieties and dates. The The Director General is responsible for managing the scientific and administrative affairs of the Center, establishing necessary technical rules and systems, overseeing and directing the Center's entities to achieve their goals, and supervising all Center activities.
