Resolution No. 574 of 2023 establishing the Environmental Protection Fund.

This Resolution consisting of 11 articles aims to establish the Environmental Protection Fund under the Ministry of Environment wth the folowing main tasks (i) addressing urgent environmental problems requiring swift intervention; (ii) supporting the establishment of small-scale economic projects related to environmental protection and improvement; (iii) supporting research, studies, and environmental experiments; (iv) supporting environmental inspection and monitoring programs; (v) contributing to the dissemination of environmental awareness and culture. To achieve its objectives the Fund shall undertake the following (i) providing financial support according to the priorities set by the Minister of Environment; (ii) granting loans to support small projects; (iii) covering financial costs for environmental activities; (iv) funding the publication of newsletters, research, and environmental studies; (v) supporting household use of eco-friendly alternative energies; (vi) supporting municipalities in the field of environmental protection, improvement, and sustainable development. The Fund is managed by a Management Committee.
