Resolution No. 63 of 2022 approving the organizational structure and powers of the General Authority for Marine Fishing and organizing its administrative apparatus.

This Resolution, comprised of 18 articles, aims to define the structure and functions of the General Authority for Marine Fishing, along with its various offices and departments. These include (i) the Board of Directors Affairs Office, responsible for preparing and overseeing board meetings, implementing decisions, supervising operational procedures, managing the Chairman's correspondence, and coordinating with regulatory divisions; (ii) the Internal Audit Office, tasked with ensuring rigorous financial control, auditing procedures, and maintaining financial integrity; (iii) the Legal Affairs Office, responsible for researching and addressing legal matters relevant to the Authority's activities; (iv) the Information, Documentation, and Technical Support Office, dedicated to gathering, organizing, and managing information and data pertaining to the Authority; (v) the Planning and Follow-up Department, charged with devising development plans for the marine fishing sector in alignment with sectoral policies and monitoring their execution; (vi) the Projects Department, overseeing the execution of development projects within the marine fishing sector; (vii) the Ports and Harbors Administration, responsible for overseeing fishing ports and harbors along the Libyan coast, as well as managing fishing unit registrations; (viii) the Department of Fishing and Marine Production, tasked with regulating marine fishing activities, related industries, and proposing development plans to safeguard marine resources; (ix) regional fishing offices, overseeing marine fishing and associated activities, as well as managing regional sector facilities and units under the direct supervision of the General Authority for Marine Fishing.
