Abstract
This Resolution consisting of 3 articles aims to prohibit to cut or uproot coniferous and forest trees, as well as shrubs and pasture plants. Two tables include the names of the plants, divided into forest trees and pasture shrubs. The Secretary of the General People's Committee for Agriculture may grant exceptions after receiving a proposal from the General Department of Forests and Soil and obtaining approval from the relevant regional Assistant Secretary for Agriculture and Committee Member. A permit to cut or uproot protected trees or shrubs can be granted only if one the following conditions is met: if the tree (i) obstructs a licensed building or its roots compromise a licensed structure's safety; (ii) obstructs public infrastructure (like utility lines or roads); (iii) is damaged or dead due to natural causes, disease, or pests; (iv) coniferous trees in natural forests have reached their designated investment/harvesting cycle.
