Decision on the establishment of the National Maritime Search and Rescue Committee.

This Decision, for the purpose of organizing, planning and coordinating of actions of all entities and individuals involved in search and rescue operations at sea, here proclaims the establishment of the Montenegrin National Search and Rescue Committee at Sea. Members of the Committee are listed in article 2.
The tasks of the National Maritime Search and Rescue Committee are as follows: monitoring the implementation, improvement and proposing amendments to the National Maritime Search and Rescue Plan; proposing a financial framework for the regular work of the search and rescue organization; approving the Report on the Search and Rescue Operation at Sea, which is prepared by the Maritime Safety and Port Management Administration, and for which there is an obligation to submit; proposing the conclusion and monitoring of the implementation of international agreements on cooperation in the field of maritime search and rescue; proposing the conclusion of cooperation agreements with owners of assets that regularly or periodically participate in maritime search and rescue operations, if any; approving standard operating procedures that coordinate the work of entities and individuals participating in maritime search and rescue operations; monitoring and improving the work of employees in the Search and Rescue Department of the Maritime Safety and Port Management Administration; proposing measures to improve the search and rescue system; proposing training programs (basic and additional) for persons involved in the coordination and conduct of search and rescue; adopting the exercise plan and analyzing the conducted exercises.
