Decision on the preparation of a Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment for the Flood Risk Management Plan for the Adriatic River Basin District.

This Decision here declares the terms and scopes aimed to be implemented in the preparation of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (report) that has the purpose to describe and assess the potential impacts of the implementation of the Flood Risk Management Plan for the Adriatic River Basin District on environmental segments and human health. The preparation of a strategic assessment is mandatory for plans and programs in the field of water management when there is a possibility that their implementation will cause environmental consequences, and the Plan represents a strategic document at the national level for flood risk management. The report considers possible impacts on all segments of the environment, proposes measures to reduce or prevent harmful impacts on the environment and human health, as well as proposes the best alternative solution to be integrated into the Plan.
