Law on occupational health and safety.

This Law prescribes measure aimed for safety and health at work, which shall be implemented by applying modern technical-technological, organizational, health, social and other measures and manners of protection in accordance with this text, other regulations, ratified and published international agreements. Safety and health at work means providing working conditions that do not lead to work injuries, occupational diseases and work-related diseases and that create conditions for full physical and psychological protection of employees. Safety and health at work is an activity of public interest. The employer is obliged to adopt and own a risk assessment act, assess the risks for all workplaces, determine the method and measures for eliminating risks and ensure their implementation. The act on risk assessment is an act that contains a description of the work process with an assessment of the risk of injuries at work, occupational diseases and illnesses related to work, and which determines measures of protection and health at work in order to improve protection and health at work (article 17). Chapter VIII sets penalty measures.
