Law on Ratification of the Framework Agreement between Montenegro represented by the Government Montenegro and the European Commission on the rules for the implementation of Union financial assistance to Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II).

This Law here ratifies the Framework Agreement between Montenegro, represented by the Government of Montenegro and the European Commission, as regards the implementation of the Union's financial assistance to Montenegro under the instrument denominated as Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II), signed in Brussels on 30 January 2015 and in Podgorica on 26 February 2015. Full text of this Framework Agreement is also part of this publication. Scopes of this Agreement are aimed at promoting co-operation between the Parties and to assist the IPA II beneficiary in its progressive alignment with the standards and policies of the Union, including the acquis, with a view to Union membership, the Parties agree to implement actions in the following policy areas as applicable to the IPA II beneficiaries with a view of achieving the objectives as set out in Articles 1 and 2 of the IPA II Regulation: (a) reforms in preparation for Union membership and related institution- and capacity building; (b) socio-economic and regional development; (c) employment, social policies, education, promotion of gender equality, and human resources development; (d) agriculture and rural development; (e) regional and territorial cooperation.
