Abstract
This Law regulates the necessary conditions, methods and procedures for restitution of property and other property rights and compensation of former owners for rights taken away in favour of public, state, social or cooperative property or use. Former owners have the right to demand restitution or compensation in accordance with this law, if their property rights were confiscated in favour of public, state, social or cooperative property, except in the cases referred to in article 7 of this Law. The right to compensation is also available to former owners who recovered their confiscated property rights on the basis of a legal transaction with compensation before the entry into force of this Law.
