Abstract
This Law regulates the way of prescribing technical requirements for products, assessing product compliance with prescribed technical requirements (hereinafter: product compliance assessment), obligations of product suppliers, validity of conformity documents and conformity marks issued abroad, notification of technical regulations and conformity assessment procedures. This Law defines that the obligation to evaluate product conformity is determined by a technical regulation. Assessment of product compliance with technical regulations has to be carried out before placing the product on the market or use. The technical regulation or the standard to which the technical regulation refers shall determine the procedures for assessing product conformity. Inspection issues are prescribed in article 35; offences and penalties are laid down in articles 36 and 37.
