Program for control testing of seed and planting material for GMOs for 2024.

This Montenegrin Program for control testing of seed and planting material for GMOs for the year 2024 here establishes control tests of seed and planting material for GMOs, i.e. tests of seed and planting material for which there is evidence of genetic modification, especially in relation to varieties created by breeding companies that engage in genetic modification. Control tests are carried out to determine the possible presence of GMOs by taking samples of seed and planting material imported and placed on the market in Montenegro. Control tests are carried out on samples from trade and production, in accordance with the sampling plan of the administrative body responsible for phytosanitary affairs. The program is implemented to carry out official control of seed and planting material and to verify compliance with the requirements in accordance with the regulations on GMOs for seed and planting material.
