Abstract
This Regulation amends the provisions part of the Regulation on the production and marketing of seed vegetable materials (Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro 26/2017).
Changes are related to the introduction of terms such as conservation in situ (the conservation of genetic material), genetic erosion or degradation, homemade plant variety, certified seed of a conservation variety and standardized certified seeds; and modifications to the Annexes.
This text transposes the rules and provisions contained in the: Commission Directive 2009/145/EC of 26 November 2009 providing for certain derogations, for acceptance of vegetable landraces and varieties which have been traditionally grown in particular localities and regions and are threatened by genetic erosion and of vegetable varieties with no intrinsic value for commercial crop production but developed for growing under particular conditions and for marketing of seed of those landraces and varieties.
The amended Annexes are also part of this publication.
