Abstract
This Regulation defines the necessary conditions (in sanitary and technical terms, regarding the transport, temporary storage, packaging and documents requested) for moving the consignment of plants that are not originating from a protected area but are transiting over such area, in order to provide the correct phytosanitary examination.
This Regulation transposes the rules contained in the Commission Directive 93/51/EEC of 24 June 1993 laying down rules on the movement of certain plants, plant products and other controlled objects through the protected area and the movement of those plants, plant products and other controlled items originating from such protected area; also under the rules brought by the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 690/2008 of 4 July 2008 on the recognition of protected zones in the Community exposed to particular health risks for herbs.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
